DC Peers is a community organization that offers social meetups, learning workshops, and a welcoming community to neurodiverse groups of teens and adults. Our neurodiverse staff have a lot of personal and lived experience with autism, ADHD, and other neurological differences, and we understand and embrace neurodivergent ways of being in the world. In our groups, folks can be themselves and connect – outside of clinics and therapeutic settings.

Our groups might be great for you/your teen teen if you/they:

  • actively want more social connection

  • are able (and mostly willing) to join a small group of 3-10 for conversation, games, and/or creative activities

  • are able (and mostly willing) to go along with group rules, group decisions, and (gentle) staff guidance

  • will not usually need 1:1 support to engage with a group

  • usually have the verbal ability to converse socially with peers

If you’re not sure whether that list describes you/your young person, or if you would like to learn more about our groups, our organizational culture, or our future plans, please feel free to schedule a 15-minute call to discuss.

A quick note about fees: We remain committed to making our programs financially accessible. One of the big ways we do this is by offering installment plans. You will see options to pay in full or pay in monthly installments for most program. If an offering is still unaffordable for your family, please fill out this form to let us know what you can afford and we'll adjust the fee for you.
